The Most Asked Questions
By Existing Patients

  • The rule of thumb for the first three days is nothing harder than mashed potatoes. So smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream, bananas, egg, pancakes, and yogurt are all safe. So when in doubt, just throw it in the blender! Typically after three days, the teeth have adjusted enough to eat normally again.

  • It is absolutely perfect to see any of our doctors. We are all general dentists with more than two years of specialties orthodontic training after completing four years of dental school, and we are all board certified. You can feel confident that every doctor is s highly trained and qualified. And, if there are ever multiple treatment options, we consult with each other to come up with the best treatment for your individual result.

  • We will always do our best to accommodate changes in your schedule. We appreciate notice as early as possible to help reschedule a convenient time and to prevent delays in your treatment progress. Fortunately, our appointments are typically made between 8-to-12 week intervals so it is very easy to work into your busy schedule.

  • Obviously, we do our best to help you prevent breakage, but this does happen, especially if the braces are just placed and the adhesive is not fully cured or if something knocks into them and is stronger than the bond strength. We would like you to notify us if something breaks. Typically, we can talk you through any discomfort over the phone until you can be rescheduled. Placing wax or sugarless gum over the area that’s loose is an easy solution until you can get into the office for a repair.

  • Referring your friends and family is our favorite way to welcome a new patient and it is our greatest compliment. Obviously just giving our name is the easiest option or they can call or visit our website to schedule. We do offer a complementary new patient exam and we welcome all ages!

  • We love to reward our patients with smile club points! This means something good is happening like showing up for your appointment on time, keeping your teeth clean, having great cooperation, or doing something really special in your life.  For example,  performing well at dance, winning a championship, getting great grades, earning your Eagle Scout,or getting a great check up at your dentist! So when something good in your life happens, share it with us and it’s a win-win!

  • We take a lot of effort to communicate with our patients in many ways. Social media allows us to reach our patients in many ways, especially their favorite social media option. We offer up-to-date information on our office, possible changes in hours, contests, and crucial information for the best results for our patients. We also appreciate feedback which allows us to improve service to you. Please know, if you ever have a problem or question feel free to reach out to us directly here or by phone - we are here to help.
