Welcome to the
Kadar Family

Welcome to the
Kadar Family

Family is at the heart of everything we do. I’ve helped generations achieve confident smiles, and now, I’m thrilled to share that my son will soon join me in the practice!

My wife and I have four amazing children, each on their own path—our oldest, Tommy, is in his orthodontic residency, our daughter in medicine, our middle son in marketing, and our youngest heading to college. Watching them grow has been my greatest joy.

Our practice is built on relationships, and I’m excited for this next chapter. Thank you for trusting us with your smiles—we look forward to seeing you soon!

Why Partner
with a Fossil Museum

At Kadar Orthodontics, our team isn’t just passionate about straightening human teeth—we’ve also got a soft spot for “prehistoric dentistry.” Dr. Tom Kadar has been known to explore fossil digs, collect teeth and jaw fragments from ancient creatures, and share that fascination with our patients and community. Education and curiosity have always been part of the Kadar DNA. Now we’re proud to sponsor the Fossil Park and join the mission of celebrating discovery, science and community. Dino Teeth
& Human Teeth

Dino Teeth vs. Human Teeth — More Similar Than You’d Think

  • Both dinosaur teeth and human teeth serve the same basic job: biting, chewing and processing food. While the size, shape and context differ wildly, the principle is familiar.

  • In fact, our in-house digital lab often likens aligner fabrication and retainer design to the precision found in fossil reconstruction—just as a paleontologist works from a jawpiece or tooth fragment, we work from scans and models of your teeth to create custom treatment.

  • So next time you’re in for a check-up, you can smile knowing you’re treated with the same kind of careful planning a scientist uses when reassembling a 66-million-year-old jaw.

We love teeth of all kinds here at Kadar Orthodontics—but even we’d have trouble fitting braces on a T-rex. Here’s why:

  • Too many teeth, too little time. Most big dinosaurs replaced their teeth constantly—new ones popped in like a prehistoric Pez dispenser. Braces only work when teeth stay put, so every time a dino smiled, we’d have to start over.

  • Jaws built for bone-crushing, not smile-straightening. One bite from a T-rex could snap through steel... and definitely through orthodontic wire. Even our strongest brackets wouldn’t stand a Jurassic chance.

So while dinosaurs couldn’t rock braces, we like to think they’d still appreciate a good smile—and Dr. Kadar would’ve loved checking out those pearly (well… fossilized) whites!

A Lovely Gift

Because Kadar Orthodontics deeply cares about our community; it’s part of how we practice:

  • We've been supporting education & local students with the Kadar Scholarship for close to two decades.

  • Our team visits schools and teaches kids about dental health and how they can care for their teeth.

  • Supporting the Fossil Park means investing in local science, education, and opportunities for kids in South Jersey—so when you choose us, you’re choosing a practice that gives back.

  • It reinforces our belief: dental/orthodontic care isn’t just about straight teeth today, but about building strong foundations for life—much like nature’s own long-lasting structures in rock and bone.

We invite our patients and families to visit the Fossil Park—bring the kids, take a dig day, and see first-hand the wonders of ancient teeth, jaws, and fossils.

When you walk into our office next, ask Dr. Kadar about the latest fossil find—he’ll probably have a story.

At Kadar Orthodontics, we don’t just fix smiles—we celebrate curiosity, community and connections between the past and your future smile.

Ever wonder what happens when an orthodontist who loves fossils teams up with a camera crew? Let’s just say—lots of laughs, a few dusty shoes, and some seriously cool dino teeth!

Our Behind the Scenes at Edelman Fossil Park video gives you a quick peek into how we filmed our educational series right where ancient creatures once roamed.

It’s proof that science, smiles, and a little adventure all go hand-in-hand here at Kadar Orthodontics.
